    Amazon Mini-site VS Multi Product

Which you think the best between mini-site and multiproduct? Both of these website models are the most used by Amazon affiliate marketer. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages.

Mini-site focus on a specific product and your task is to develop a website with few pages (ex: Nikon D3100). This type of website can easily appear on the top of SERPs if treated correctly and it has relatively high conversion rates. The weakness of mini-site is a large initial capital. You need to buy one domain for one specific product.

Multi product is a method of making website reviews of Amazon products that still in one niche (ex: Nikon Camera). This website takes time to get a good ranking on search engines, but you can earn big money once your website obtains the trust of search engines.

I use both, but now tend to choose multi products for budget reasons.

Multi product would only work almost as well as single product site, if the product range is all relevant to eachother.
This way it's much easier to keep attracting targeted prospects.

I would never create a site with too wide a range or diversity of products.

Both sites have advantages and disadvantages.. if the product is recently launched and also people eagerly waiting for that product, the mini-site is good to drive in the traffic while people are searching for it.. just like the brand new Nikon D4 that already come out and people are really looking for it and wanna read review, then after a certain moment, maybe nikon d5 is announced, your site maybe can't drive in much visitor.

I use the multi product approach, with the site being tightly focused on one particular type of product. That way you can put up individual pages for each product and its like a minisite. For each individual page, I do not have links to the other product pages. Links to other product pages are only in the sitemap.

As for budget, I have had great results by using subdomains of an aged domain (I have a number of domains that are over 10 years old). These often rank faster and more solidly than the equivalent new keyword-focused domain name, at least for me.

Agreed. The best approach is to use multi product type, you can diversify the marketing campaign for many products, and also diversify many segments of target user, if use minisites you just have to depend solely on one product, when the hype of the product is over (due to new models launch)... so your minisite is over too

I have started sticking with sites which targeting a product range than brand or a model. I used to have camera sites for each model but those work great for year or maximum 2 then drop most of traffic. So Now I make sites for the whole range. etc Waterproof cameras , DSLR cameras , Cheap DSLR cameras etc. You can add latest products to these sites and also keep updating content.

For me, Mini sites work great! You must create mini sites, but they must be like authority mini sites.

I like to start with niche site with products of the same type. Then, as I find the ones that are ranking easily, I'll make a micro niche site on that type alone and make it amazon based with the non-main page focused on the different brands of that micro niche type... So when both of these sites start to rank, you'll give buyers different monetization choices. If they didn't like your ebay niche page, they'll click back and then find your amazon micro niche page!
