    Google Ads Placement

read so many different views on this topic but it all depends on how your site layout is imo.
i run over 25 wp blogs with adsesne on every one and been doing it now a long time ,I have found the best place is using the three allowed ads within your actual post and not on a sidebar
    one very start
    one middle
    one end of post
usually each post is at least 1000 words long

after a long time watching clicks on each site closely this seems to be the best option for me

You mean those ad units contain only 2 ads ? I think same because people tend to click when they see links while reading the post. Also less ads means you get better value ads.

Also did you check how good is CTR if you put a box at unit at top of the site before the post ?

Sometimes blending ads too much cause CTR down, Specially in Blogs and forums where you get lot of return traffic. People get ad blinded.

i would love to post one of the sites to show but i never do that on a forum
i built one last week which is a prime example
    new domain
    new site
    new content
as of today its earned just over $3 not much, but for a site thats just getting crawled its not bad
long term like this i will be watching once again if ctr goes down i will play around with ads a little within new posts so i have a variation always watching and optimising

Google released this map a few years ago and it's still very accurate until today. In fact this map is based on actual click patterns for google ads and is referred to as the default adsense placement.

Keep in mind you site may have 'other' hot spots based on your content and you should do some 'A', 'B' testing to see how ads perform for you.

I would like to add to your add placement..

apply one below the header and ads placement accordingly to left and right if it is 3 row theme or 2 row theme.. rest is ok..
