Thread: DOT WS | has anyone had any luck with these guys?

I remember a few years ago I signed up as an affiliate for a (at the time) NEW .ws domain. If your not familiar it was $10.00/month and then you built pyramid lines under you and made money from them each line down. You could use the website as an actual website or keep it as a referral website to sign up new members.
Are they still around? has anyone done anykind of real money with them?

Hmm I remember it but never joined. Looking like one of those pyramid scams. If I remember correctly you get $5 when someone register. was it reoccurring or just one time commission ?

yes sir. it was $5.00 when they joined and then residual income of $1 a month when they paid for the website. they billed it as being the last time in history this could happen. See the point was .ws was West Somolia Domains name. These two guys that had retired from Microsoft I think, went and spoke with the chief. He signed over the rights to the domain and they sold it to the public as .ws meaning (website)
I bought 5 of them LOL. but resold about 40 - 50. and once you stop paying $10.00 month any of those little sales you made were no longer yours. My problem was after about a month my customers stopped paying. so I got burned out on it. I am going to type in .ws and may give it a shot again.

I have never heard of them, but it seems interesting I am also going to find something about their previous plans. Only one thing I know is this domain is available for public now and .ws stands for website not for west somalia like earlier.

Yea they kind of sold it to the public to mean Website But the truth is that it was West Somolia's domain extension.

Does it still work today?

Please tell more about that .ws domain. Is it still available to register?
