I used to post my blog links in the resource box of yahoo answers and got banned from the site. Many times I requested to re-instate the account, but no use.

I Agree Yahoo Answers can be an excellent source, there is a lot of spam on there so it takes a quality question and answer to get traffic. The more natural it looks the more people you get.

I have been doing it for the past 2 years and it does help you gain traffic to your site. Good to know information.

Competitors cause more trouble then any of the other issues combined! Webmasters need to have an association and when Ironclad proof is submitted that a competitior has lied and caused trouble for one of us we should all group together and make it impossible for them to function! I hate liars!

Nowadays, Yahoo has got very strict and is deleting many answers which contains links which look promotional or which link to a promotional site. This does not mean you cannot succeed with this strategy, but you have to do it wisely and carefully, like taking time to answer the questions properly which users are asking and then linking to some page on your site which has got good tips or content related to the topic and which subtly promotes a product (you should not link to a salespage of any product). This takes time and a little bit of hard work and effort.

How soon can we reach level 2? One answer earns 2 points so how many answers can take us to level 2 or how many points are required to reach level 2?
