Blogging is the best way to build your brand

Do you agree that blogging is the best way to build your brand?

By actively writes interesting and high quality articles about things that you like, time by time reader will give you a reputation as someone who is an expert in that field. People will believe in you, and when this happen then they will buy any product that you sell to them.

Unfortunately, many bloggers have given up before they pass this onerous process. As a result, they can not build their brand.

I agree that blogging is a great way to build your brand. Some bloggers are too focused on their page rank and give all their attention to all the new SEO techniques they can possibly implement. Sometimes, they fail to see that regularly posting new content is the most important thing. In my opinion, even without those complicated techniques and strategies, you can make your brand well-known by just providing your target audience with what they really need through the content you post. Because of this, not only do you build your brand, you are also able to establish yourself as credible and trustworthy.

I think it depends on the niche you're in.

It's a lot more difficult to build a brand through blogging in the IM/Make money Online niche, because most of the IM'ers are looking for free stuff.
In other niches it's easier...once you've reached your target prospects.

Forums usually have a lot more people reading your posts, so in my opinion forums are the best way to brand yourself.
Another very effective way is offering vauable free reports...giving them info they're already looking for.
Blog entries are a nice additional way though. You'd need a blog with huge traffic...

Nice analysis. I agree that if it's IM, there are a lot of people that come to your blog, subscribe, and take the freebies away without caring about who is the writer and then unsubscribe. In this case, your building brand effort become a waste. Blogging is good for niche like weigh loss or something related to disease.

Yes I agree with you that blogging is the best way for building the brand. With blogging you can post the unique information about your brand which people want to know. It is the best way to get the traffic if the post and comments are done in a proper way. And through the blogging you can share your knowledge with other bloggers.

Keep in mind that if you don't get tons of visitors to your blog you won't build a brand at all. If you want to build a brand and authority status you're going to need lots...and I mean LOTS of exposure.
There many ways to build your brand and I don't think blogging is the best way. The best way is to create a few free reports (with giveaway rights and the link to your website) and buy a few solo ads to spread the report at accelerated speed to potentially thousands of prospects. You'll only be able to build your brand if your content reaches your targeted group in a market. Not from SEO generated visits to your website, because you don't already have their full attention.

If you have a successful blog with lots of returning visitors it could work though, but that's hard these days.

Blogging need time to get trust from readers. In order to make valuable content you just need to make some research what people search for, one of blogger that i really salute is Darren Rowse. He is full time blogger and always share tips on his blog on how to do blogging the right way

Ya i agree with it.Blogging is only the way which a person know about the product quality. If you think about apple iPhone or Dell notebook then you have to visit for the their blogs.Site wise surfing is not the easy thing to get the proper knowledge for the products.Blog writing is the thing which encounter the doubts regarding the products.

i agreed, sometimes before i purchased the product i like, i will look into review by bloggers that give an honest review of that product... when the people trust your 'writing', you actually build up your own brand name

I know it couldn't hurt at all.. If you really wanted to go big what I would do is open a website that had a blog and forum built into it.. I think that would be the best and most efficient way.. But I think whatever way you do should at least help a little bit.

Building your brand is not posting blog entries boasting about your product. In fact, you should not talk about your product...only about your opinion and communicate your point of view. Readers will soon find out you have the product that will help them from links in signatures, reviews, etc..

Building a brand and authority status doesn't have anything to do with marketing your product. Seperate these two aspects carefully. If you talk about your product all the time they'll just think you want to sell....not help. Social proof, writing about the success your customers are experiencing through your help, is OK though. That'll just show your methods work for tohers as well. If I see for example a free report full of links to the product this person wants to sell or affiliate links....I'm disgusted by it and press shift-delete right away... I think that goes for most of us.
