Thread: I need advice for selling my websites

Hi, Everyone!

I have seen certain discussion about selling websites but for me this is going to be my first experience in doing so...

I need the most basic characteristic that have to have a websites in order to sell it.

I have made certain investigation on the topics but still I'm sure I'm missing some basic points.

To give you a glimpse about my websites...2 of them have a lot of blogs and websites under the domain, 3 of them are alone...

What happen with the site that has blogs under them?

I will appreciate any useful advice..

Get them into a good SEO situation first...(good PR...etc) then their value will be good..then you can sell them.
As for the site that has blogs, it will be included in the deal....unless you want other than that.

If your website is earning money then you would be able to sell them, if it is not earning money then you have to promote first so that it start earning money then you can go for sale.

For selling website, you can use eBay, dnforum these are good places I think.

I think the point is being missed. Are you only wanting to sell the main site or domain and not the sub-domains? or sell all sites associated with the main domain? If just the main domain and no the subs just move the subs to a different domain. Or if selling all of the subs plus the main domain make sure that you list all sites that are associated with the main domain and what they offer. Meaning members, mailing lists, back links, traffic and any money that thy are generating. If they are totally different from the main domin though you may wish to keep them or sell them off differently.

I would check out flippa.com great place to sell websites.

I guess afternic is good website to buy and sell the domain.

There is a very good place "sedo" and I hope that you can put your sites for sale over here and also get access to a pretty good number of potential customers through this site.

ok this is what you need to do . The first step is check out the top sites flippa, dp, wf, websitebroker, and sedo. Se what is selling. How active the market is. You then rank each market on how active. You then take the top three and write a nice long description of your website some point are
.traffic
.seo
.revenue
.where getting traffic
.expensises
.and anything else they might want to know
You then need to make videos for proof of all the stats. You then post this all on the 3 sites.

There are few places on internet which are very highly effective for selling websites:

eBay
DN forum

These places are very helpful, I would say.

if your website is made on valuable domain name, if it has useful content and if it is receiving good number of visitors then of course it would give you good money.

Which can be good for any website. Unfortunately, the OP here has asked for advice about selling websites, not marketing them

If you have adsense or an income. Mulitply what you make per month by like 10, then that your selling price.

I'd try listing your site on Flippa, but if you don't want to pay the fees, just stick to forum marketplaces.
