No it`s wrong that it will be beneficial for any one else. I don`t know much about online marketing but your question attracted me and I want to tell you a thing that how can it help you out if it is free? I mean it is not much beneficial for you because it own has no worth. But if you go for a good reputed website than it will help you a lot to promote your business.

You pay for what you get. There are some cheap services around the net that give great service and have amazing results. Some free resources can turn out to be great, I think it could a trial an error case here. Try it out, if it doesn't work - move on and try something else.

paid advertisments slots are a lot better than those free advertisement. I have not tried free ones but still believe that they are not good.

free advertisement need patient so as to make sure the target audience reach... for free advertise you can try free classified ads.. just google it

Free calssified ads don't do much for your rankings backlinks wise.
Better to get 10 quality backlinks (edu or PR3 and above) than 100 of those free classifieds.

Find a range of quality sites/services where you can create backlinks and stick to them.
Recommendable is the "Supercharged Bookmarks" here on IMT.

Tip: find RSS feed services and use freetrafficsystem [dot] com if you have a wordpress blog.
You'll get 2 backlinks per article written x 30 blogs it's posted on (free service).
That's 60 backlinks...and because their wordpress blogs it's posted on it's also pinged immediately.

i agreed with andre statement..nothing much can do with advertisement site... besides free classified ads is full of spam content.. plan your bugdet and go for affordable and trusty paid ads

If you get some traffic from them...you were just lucky someone saw your ad is my guess.
Imagine all the newbie crap and spam (no offense...) that's posted on these sites...

besides the classified ads also can be classified to target audience or demographics of certain areas, such auto classified ads, LA classified ads, NY classified ads an so on... but none of them bring good quality of advertising that can convert into something useful

I think those sites have been created by people who thought they could make some money with a paid option from IM'ers who think they can get effective backlinks or even targeted traffic from them.

Other than a low quality backlink it's not worth wasting your time on.

Doesn't the EU have an equivalent to Craig's List? In the states I am sure that Craig's List gets millions of hits a day and posts are indexed almost instantly. Bargain shoppers check eBay and Craig's List.

For effectiveness, Craigslist/Kijiji/Backpage/Gumtree are the big ones that deliver results. For link buliding, try to build on forums, or large sites that allow permanent listings. My site jihoy.com, for example, is a PR 5 site that allow unlimited listings as long as they aren't duplicates, and permanent listings. However, always diversify your link building source, and don't expect much sales from classified ads compare to, say, paid advertising or SEO.

That's what I think is most unlikely.

not at all, not even a glimpse, but i admit that long time ago, when i was just little newbies, i post affiliate link to the classified ads , i just follow the method from free e-book, at last no revenue at all even though i post to nearly 50 classified ads per day

You can not get much traffic from free advertisement websites so it is not preferable. If you want to do quality work then go to build up relationships with nice websites and then promote your business over there. Or you may go for paid advertisement that can be really helpful for you.
