Why is Internet Marketing both Awesome and Horrible?

Hey Guys,

Don't you just love working for yourself? but just as anything in this world there are always ups and down. Share with us the things you like and hate about making money online/internet marketing.

Why I think its Awesome?

*I love the freedom - you manage your own time, no grumpy boss, less paperworks
*your income is limitless (no fix salaries, fix salary increase) - but this will depend on how good you are
*working from home is awesome

Why it's Horrible sometimes?
*Distractions - sometimes I read an article which connects to a youtube video, which has a related sexy Shakira Video, then on the video comments I read that this girl on youjizz looks like shakira. After 2 hours, I just realize I've done nothing.
*Human Interaction - I miss talking to real humans sometimes

Overall, I love working online. Share with us your experiences guys!

It is very easy to get distracted when promoting and backlinks become redundant. Every one does it once in a while.

I just LOVE IM!

You have made some good points..... like what you earn is limitless (it all depends on you, not on some big boss man that decides to give you a raise/promotion).

Other things I love about IM, you can literally work from anywhere in the world. As soon as I reach my target of £xxK per month I will start seeing the world and travelling every 2-3 months for at least 2 weeks at a time.

I can work for myself, you can do the work 1 time (adsense/amazon/review sites etc.) 1 time (get ranking) then you just sit back and watch money come in from work you did x amount of months/years ago!

You get to meet other people that have the same interest as you and have the same dreams as you etc.

I guess the biggest downer is working alone, long days/long nights ...... but I guess thats is just in the start, once you have stuff on auto pilot there is no need for that!

The other downside is that other people (such as your girlfriend/boyfriend) may not think you're accomplishing anything, even if you are earning money.

I love IM. the best part of it is getting the results you want, being able to take your own personal style and perfect it, making it easier to implement on other projects, and benefiting from it.

It is lonely work, but if you're part of forums and blogs, it could help loads because you have awesome people to talk to and pass the time.
