Thread: Guest blogging for free

Does anyone here do guest blogging for free? As in just writing for someones site just because? I've actually done this somewhat for someone in the past and I was really happy doing it. Sometimes I'd get someone from that site to come and guest blog for me, but sometimes I just like doing it to get my site out there.

Not only do you learn from it, but you can share your site, meet new friends and have new affiliates. There are guest bloggers who require payment, but I think many people aught to try it for free at least a few times.

Yes, blogs are good for getting a High SEO ranking because they have many features that search engines use to index your site. For example: Google sitemaps plugin, RSS feeds, custom page titles, content that is organized in a hierarchical format. The most useful aspect of blogs for SEO is the fact that you can add new content to your site quickly and often.

But the blog should be of high quality and theme based. For high quality blogs some money is worth paying of.
