Thread: How come so many people fail with online marketing...

One of the largest reasons why people fail to make any dough online is because they run around in circles hunting down the next shiny object rather than concentrating on just one or two methods and then becoming really good at them.

There are many ways to make money on the net, such as blogging, SEO, email marketing, article marketing etc and they all work. But they all take work. Many newcomers might go and write 2-3 articles, submit them to a couple directories, make no sales and then go around complaining that online marketing doesn't work.

The key is to settle on one area of Internet marketing that excites you the most and get exceptional at it since the more you enjoy something, the much more likely you are to study more and get mastery over that topic.

This is what worked for myself. What do you guys think?

I agree. You need to find something you like and STICK WITH IT. Some of the most successful bloggers and marketers will work for MONTHS, even YEARS in some cases before they even make a dime.

Patience is virtue... online marketing is a long term business.. no need to rush... my friend of mine take almost five years to learn and understand just SEO only.. now he got a lot lot lot and very lots of money

Some people success with email marketing only... some facebook marketing only.. some provide services only.. some both.. the thing is.. focus on one thing before moving for another

All is true, a lot get overwhelmed and give up others do not take action.

It's also the question of niche and luck. Within easy niche and with lots of luck you succeed much faster
So I guess people who start with a wrong niche (by wrong I mean a niche that is too hard for them as beginners) are the reason for most of the fails

But for the the complete internet marketing you will need to work in almost all areas of internet marketing. Here the question is not about your linking or disliking but the question is what is the demand of marketing for the product or service.

Many people want to know more about internet marketing that they don't take action, but keep learning, reading, researching more everyday.

man I'M one of those ppl that don't take action . I can totally figure out a plan of action and narrow my focus but when it comes to stepping out on that big open field . when there's a thousand ppl watching it can be pretty intimadating.. especially when u can't spell HA HA !!!

There are many *keys* to succeeding in anything worthwhile
pursuing, making money online being one of them.

I can tell people from experience, the reason why I didn't see
the kind of success I could have enjoyed is because of a lack
of discipline.

You can have the perfect system. Perfect opportunity. Perfect
circumstances.

...and 'still' not make a dime.

Most people lack discipline, and when they lack discipline, they
lack consistency.

This lack of discipline causes people to get fat, lose muscle,
deteriorate guitar playing skills, destroy relationships and, of
course, fail to make money in business.

The thing itself isn't hard.

Playing guitar isn't difficult. But it requires practice.

Finding a girlfriend isn't challenging. But keeping one can be.

Making money isn't hard. But taking the steps necessary TO
make money is.

What makes people quit, therefore, is the Shiny Object Syndrome.

I know this for fact because I was one of those people.

When I stopped chasing every new toy, I was able to master the
one I have and succeeded beyond my wildest dreams.

It's a universal law that takes effect rather we want it to or not.

It will either effect us positively or negatively. Give us pleasure or
make us miserable.

no no no nothing as luck it al depends how much hard work you are ready to put into this business. this is a business not a child's play

I think that people fail mostly because they're trying to bring "the next big thing" in online marketing. And also, most of them try to apply strategies that big companies use which is wrong, unless you are working in a big company yourself.

Yes i agree with you before going to online marketing they you should have global marketing awareness.

I can say that everyone must stay aware about Google updates, about the basics of online marketing,about the tools to check are they going to get benefit out of the strategy they are following.

As long as you do something that people like, it doesn't matter what google does.

People fail in online business......yes thats true.

But is it the on ONLINE business where people fail?? Answer is BIG NO.

There are all kind of business where people fail every day. Online as well as Offline.

People fails because of few characteristic natures -

1. They simply does not ACT HRAD to achieve success.

2. They take things easily.

3. They are not consistent in what they do.

4. They are lazy and does not takes required steps to achieve success.

5. They network less. Networking is another key to success.

6. They give up very easily.

7. They looks for SHORTCUTS and fail miserably.

8. They are IMPATIENCE persons; who look for easy success root.

9. They give EXCUSES.

10. They do not have BURNING DESIRE TO SUCCEED
