Thread: Do you like the New Yahoo Answers interface?

Yahoo answering has always been a major source of traffic for my websites. And today I noticed yahoo answers have completely changed their interface. I have also noticed, from now on you can also add media files like images, videos etc.

Do you like it?

To be honest... I am not too found of Yahoo Answers. At least for traffic generating purposes. I spent quite a bit of time there studying and trying to perfect that traffic strategy and to me it's a waste of time. It seems like anytime I put a link at the bottom for my reference I would get flagged and my points and response would be deleted. There were times I put a link to a website that had no relation to me what so ever... it was my source to help answer the persons question and I still got flagged.

When I didn't put a link to reference a website or reference anything at all my best answer rate was 43% and I was at Level 2.

I found this traffic strategy to be extremely frustrating because I would take a lot of time really trying to answering peoples questions. I put a lot of thought into my answers and have nothing to show for it other then to be flagged and penalized. I was NOT spamming just for the sake of getting my information out there. I was really trying to help people.

I even tried disputing/appealing but was denied every time and lost more points because I contested it. I don't even think they really review these. I think they automatically deny them regardless.

I feel like yahoo answers is a slap in the face.

I have many traffic methods that work really well... Yahoo Answers, however, is not one of them. I found that my results with yahoo answers wasn't worth my time which I could spend on other traffic methods.

Has anyone else experienced similar results?

no i don't like the new interface i prefer the older type this really have made me stop answering question right now on yahoo answer. right now my points so far in yahooanser is about 458

I don't see the facility of adding media files and videos. How can we add these files? I have joined Yahoo answers just 2 days back and I do not see these features. Do I need to spend some more days in Yahoo answers to get these features?

I hate Yahoo Answers as a traffic source. People report your most immaculate questions purposely. Once someone clicks the button your question is gone immediately. I found a better alternative - askmefast.com

myself i didnt use yahoo answers anytime. there is mostly only answers which are not 100% shure answers about that what was asking about ( in my case) so for me other sites are better.

I never tried them, but a friend with a forum had luck there

for me i prefer the old interface

I too love Yahoo Questions And Answers and do it regularly ...
I loved the Older Interface as it was user friendly ................
