Google still counts press release links, do you know that?

    Hello,

Do you know that google still count press release links? yes it does, there has been recent study and research at searchengineland has shown this.

But again you need to write a high quality PR and distribute the same to high quality PR sites and not to all junk PR sites. Also you need to make sure that you have just 1 link within the body and place links to all your pages randomly.

Any comment and suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes Google is considering Press release links but for this we need a quality content and the news which we are publishing on press release sites will be very true and effective.

Exactly, I truly agree with you. We should write quality press release and distribute to high quality PR sites and not to all junk PR sites. At the same time we should maintain the velocity.

PR is effective but needs to be true and the quality should be good.

Press release is still effective on google if you submitted them on top press release sites

From my (limited) experience the best place to submit PRs is PRBuzz(dot)com PRBuzz is pretty expensive, but there are people on fiverr who will submit for $5.

Make sure your PR is well written because it goes do the desks of real professional news people who read PRs all day. It is very easy to spot fake PRs.

Many of the people on fiverr who submit to PRBuzz also claim they write PRs. Be very, very careful. Many of these people do a very bad job of writing PRs. If you plan to submit many PRs (which is the proper way to do it) find a good person to work with and give them your work. A good PR writer can make all the difference in the world.

    Thanks.

All the paid PR are good, even there are some FREE PR sites which are good. But as I told we need to see that we use just 5 or 10 PR sites.

I don't know much about press releases. I haven't done a lot. Usually I use a good Fiverr gig for this. I would write all content though. Also some good PR sites are paid only so its not easy to get into those.

James Greg asks: "How do you judge the quality of a press release?"

    1) Does it have news? Does it have information that is new, that didn't exist before, that people don't know already?

If it's written like a sales pitch it is not news. If its main purpose is to tell that world that a certain company or website is selling a certain product or service, it is not news.

    2) News is written in an inverted triangle style (mostly). The first sentence contains the most information. Each sentence after the first contains a small and smaller amount of information. Put it this way, if all a person read is the title and first sentence the person would know most of what the article is about.

Yes, but most pure news pr distribution websites are overpriced and don't yield the results people expect...PRweb and prnewswire are incredbily expensive and they don't spread the word like you would think
