Thread: Reporter Will get reputation!

What about giving good reputation points to those member who reports the bad/spam posts/thread?

Perhaps it should be set up in a way where activity points are only awarded if the thread really did need to be reported and an infraction is given for a certain amount of false reports to prevent abuse.

Look, all the help we get is really appreciated, but, the thought of being awarded reputation for reporting posts should not be the norm, nor should it be a rule or stated that someone that reports a post has to get rep given to them. Rep is important yes, but I would rather gain it by helping someone on a thread, or creating a thread that someone finds useful. Its just too easy to report a bunch of posts and then sit back and wait for the green to roll in. Besides, the door it opens to abuse is just too great. If people start reporting left right and center, it deflects a mods attention, because they have to check the thread out, and if the thread is ok and should not have been reported, it not only leaves the mod frustrated, but it also takes them away from a thread/ area where they may actually be needed.

It is very hard to implement such new ideas, because this system is based on 3rd party point and activity system already described in other thread.
Maybe I can suggest them to add some more feature to their product.
