Thread: Some Ideas for IMTalk

These are just some ideas, which may have already been considered, but I'll suggest them anyway.

1. Create a "Members Only" section, which will encourage people to post and reach Member status. Have a "Fasttrack" option, which means they can pay $50, or whatever, to become a member right away. This section could be where we discuss more private special deals or information, to keep the riffraff and search engines from seeing.
2. Have quarterly or monthly "Referral Contests" with a 100 points, or similar, reward. The points could be used toward paid IMT Tools or other services.
3. Offer services like Namepros.com's NP$ Store section. Take a look, you'll see what I mean.
4. Create a section where it requires a large number of posts, several Thanks, and a reasonable one-time fee. This section would be for veteran, core members of IMT. This section could be like the "War Room" of WF, but even more private and special.


That's all I could think of right now. I'd love to hear some feedback.

Some nice suggestions, I already thought about few(already write about them, like credit system),
but definitely we will implement such or similar features in the future, only problem is that I'm little limited with the time.

More suggestions are welcome, I would love to hear what IMT members would like to see around here...

I am with you for your 4th suggestion. Can't wait for it. But instead of money I like to see only posts, several Thanks criteria as you said, but not money

Here's some more tool ideas:

1. Blog commenting finder tool (like on Global CommentLuv Search | CommentLuv and DoFollow Diver - The Premier DoFollow Blogs Search Engine) It would be great if these could be incorporated into one powerful tool. Also, you could make it so the results would display on your site, but the tool could be ran on any site, thus it is more advertising for IMT.
2. A Firefox/Chrome plugin for IM'ing. Maybe it could be tied to the Social bookmarking tool here, and show current credits available. Another part of it could be for submitting directories to the Website Directory tool, in order to make the current directory list bigger.
