Pretty good rule, and certainly need, practice is the same in many other places.
i was very troubled about sig link. And have created a thread about it. But now i know .hope i will reach 25 in coming days
These days you can't run a forum with strict rules because of spammers.
It's important to remember a link is just a link. And whether you have a sig or not is NOT what will ultimately break - or make your site(s) successful.
Niche, keywords, on-page optimization, competition, authority, content etc are more important factors of what makes a site succeed. 99% of all backlinks are just a little tiny push-pin stuck in a very big map. Yes, the more the merrier. Yes, keyword anchor your sig SMART -- but it's just 1 drop in a bucket. I post here cuz I enjoy the topic, not cuz I want to spend my evenings getting to the Magic Sig Number! :)
Exactly, I agree with you macgizmoguy. Being part of a forum community isn't about frantically answering questions and posts with as little as possible just to hit the sig link requirements. I've always thought of a forum as a place to learn and meet people that work in the same areas you do and then gain valuable knowledge from them as well as imparting a few pearls of wisdom yourself. I also believe that the forum community as a whole needs to each play a part in being a moderator. In other words, making sure that when they see someone spamming, the right people are told about it, so that the forum is kept clean for everyone else. I have 3 other forums, and in each one, I always check the threads I am posting in. Sometimes its so blatantly obvious it sticks out like a sore thumb in a hammer convention, but others can be rather subtle :) .
I've also seen that we can't add images in the topics :( (I mean people like me, new registered)
And images, we can't spam with images? So maybe change that rule?
Cheers, good forum tho ;)
And there was me going to put a link in my signature! good rule that will make this a good place to come and share info.
good to have rules like this, i have seen many forums turn ugly do to the links. Nice forum glad i found it
huuhh, i think its hard for me. but i will try,'cause i'm super newbie and very very newbie. What can i do just say thanks, ask for something and my post is only comments and i can't share anything because newbie and my english is bad . Is that mean i'm spamming ? sorry... i just want to learn, please help me to learn guys...
Hello Nemanja I need your help, I reached 25 posts, and I think I stay here more than seven days in this forum. How can i put my signatures? And How can I know my history of comments. Thanks
I am not Nemanja, but it may be the middle of his night.
Go to your profile (my profile link at top right of page or click on your name anywhere that it shows up) and click on the forum actions>edit profile then click on edit signature in the left column. You can also find all your posts from your profile page.
Good step.
mean i have to post at least 25 posts to use signature feature.
And when we get allowed to post links in the posts ?
Thanx for great information...all should be visit & watch this forums area....... & should follow this rules
Fair enough. These rules are completely understandable. I was also trying to figure out rules pertaining to signature links :)
It's a good policy, I think. Otherwise the link juice of every page would be diluted by the link spammers.
I still cant add a signature ^^
