which software is best for editing a picture

i am trying to edit my picture for Facebook but i cant find the software to edit my picture...Please tell me about some image editing software.

I use the freeware editor Irfanview for simple crop and resize editing. It also does color correction and has some special effects available. It does bulk resize and rename and has a simple html gallery generator, too.

For picture work i use Macromedia Fireworks; but you can use GIMP - it is a free software like irfan view.

You are buying the Photoshop, just to edit Facebook pictures? Of course you could use the free 30trials on Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro.

Paint Shop Pro is much more user friendly.

As LearningSEO said I don't think Photoshop is viable for a couple of Facebook Photos but if you were going to use it regularly then I would definitely reccomend it as an investment
