I have had the best luck with photoshop. For me it is the best one out there.
I use photoshop and CorelDraw and I think they can give the best images you can ever enjoy looking at.
always treated only with photoshop
Try logo creator it is very easy...
Been a huge fan of the Adobe line only because they all interconnect so you can use them all together.

Photoshop all the way.
For image editing Photoshop is best. But when you are going to make a logo then Illustrator is best from my view. Because it is vector image. And we know vector file is most important for web. Also Corel draw is another great software to create awesome art. After all, for better result you need to use combination all of this software.

I choose Adobe illustrator for vector graphics... and photoshop for rasters... and I also admire the versatility of paint tool SAI... it's not just for drawing comic books... it's interface is good for great graohics as well...
I use Photoshop since I create websites. I've also used GIMP but the interface i'm used to with is Photoshop's one. It is much easier (in my opinion). Also everybody in this forum knows that the opportunities, tutorials and plugins for Photoshop are much more
I see majority of the people using photoshop but I am a lot comfortable using corel draw v12 for designing.

Photoshop and Illustrator will be a good choice .. I think though that photoshop runs a little bit faster then illustrator
