Thread: Alternative Application for Photoshop

Photoshop is undoubtedly the most popular photo editor but it comes with a price. There is this open source called GIMP. Anyone using this application for image editing and manipulation? How is your experience on this application?

Lol I already have created a thread about this. But I do really like the program. In fact I use it rather than photoshop. I think its a great program. You can do almost all if not all of the different things you can do on Photoshop on GIMP. And its free.

Try Xara Designer Pro. it offers fast graphic rendering and advanced photo editing. It's like a lightweight Photoshop, in price and performance.

it is available and It's the best alternative for photoshop. It's little hard to get used to it if you are a die hard photoshop user and it's good enough to do most of image and photo editing tasks.

Amazifier is a nice and simple photo editor.
You can’t do professional stuff like Adobe’s PhotoShop with it but its good for 99% of the photo editing I do...
It has some nice photo effects, photo frames, stickers, etc..
The best I like is the magic brushes where you can brush nice stuff on to your photo like snow flakes…

i am working on Photoshop from last 5 years & i never used any other similar software like it, well Photoshop is a vast software which had no ends, just you have to put some your effort to create some techniques.

but if you want quick and fast photo editing, you can use photoscape, it's good because all effects,plugin,color just can be drag and drop into picture, perfect for fast editing, BUT if you want complex and more details editing, photoshop should be the best among the best

Ulead video express is good tool and now ulead company purchased by corel so corel photo paint and macromedia fireworks is also alternative of photoshop but Photoshop is good tool from all tools Many photo editing softwares are available in the market.
