    Best voice editing softwares !!

Share your best voice editing softwares here (only name and some description). Here is mine.
    - Sound forge -
I use it for do several things as below !!
    - sound editing
    - some times to edit videos
    - sound mixing
    - voice recording

Once I used few more sound editing programs such as steinberg cubase, tractor, wavepad and etc. But most of them are not user friendly and not easy to use. So from 2005, for all sound editing work, I use sonic sound forge. The most easiest and the best one for me. How about yours ?

I don't do any serious editing so I only use Audacity (freeware). I use it mainly to break out individual songs and cut out dead air in live recordings. I do live sound and for the past two years I have been mixing live on a virtual digital console called the Software Audio Console. I have a site about the system at: Live Sound Mixing with The Mixer in a Box I am not the developer but there are links to the developer's site on my site.

No mention about Reaper? (website: Reaper.fm)

Free for 30days, and after 30days works without limitation. I bought mine. Just to support devs, great forum, and their pricing. I can't praise this software enough.

If you have used Sony Vegas for video editing. This is pretty much the same for audio (similar workflow). Multitrack (no track limitations) Build in effects, easy to use, no bloatware (about 5mb installer), extremely fast, regular updates, 64-version available too... I suggest downloading and testing yourself. You just have to trust me on this one.

Some "warez-groups" stopped releasing keygens to this, because even they support this software! That should tell enough about the pricing. Oh, and the main developer behind the Reaper is the same guy who made Winamp.

Reaper is one that I would consider if I were multi-tracking a live show. It is known to work well with the virtual console that I use. I have downloaded the demo once, but I would want a drive and a couple of docks if I were going to track shows. I don't set up my host computer at the house.

I use a small VST recorder called TapeIt with the system to record the stereo mix from time to time. These can be quite good in many cases.

no I didn't use it, last time when I was in China for university vacation, I got a video editing project from a company. I used sound forge and did it okay, but when playing the video, it stuck for sometime if someone fast forward it. I will check it !!
