Why Drupal CMS is so much popular?

Drupal is the best open source PHP content management system. Drupal provides strong community support and gives high quality resolution for projects. Drupal is the best choice to attract high traffic towards your website. With Drupal, you can build complex websites in less time and with less cost. You can easily modify the Drupal based website by changing the modules. Drupal has a huge collection of predefined theme and you can create fully functional website with these themes. Drupal has large community support for different modules. Drupal is search engine friendly and hence it’s easy to obtain a higher rank in search engine result pages. With less technical knowledge you can still develop and manage a website for your company. Drupal communities have expert developers who help you solve your queries and hence you can get online help at any point of time to solve your queries.

How is this different from Joomla, or even WordPress?

I looked at both Drupal and Joomla at a time when I had less knowledge/experience in web development. I looked at Drupal because of the good press, but both Drupal and Joomla seemed to require a steeper learning curve than WP. I think that for someone without extensive web development skills WordPress is probably the best option.

Drupal isa CMS. meaby with not great usability, but easy to customize and safe. joomla is.. only a collect of crashable bugs (yes , I know probably some of them are fixed in version x.xxx )
Drupal is popular? Did You have any live sites statistic?

I think Drupal is similar to linux , Its lightweight, powerfull, fully suitable and customizable but... you still must remember few bash command if you want to use full of this "magic"

For copy writer like me it takes more time to understand Drupal. It's lot more easier to master Wordpress.
