    what is Benefits of Hosting your Own Blog?

    I have a concern on the benefits of Hosting your Own Blog on your website. Can any one give any update on this?

    A blog in a sub-directory of your site adds content to your site with each blog post, aiding in onpage SEO. An offsite blog can be used to build backlinks to your main site, but you then have two sites to maintain and do offpage SEO.

    I think the main benefit of put your blog/site in own hosting is because it more secure. Just imagine if you have good blogspot/free wordpress blog and then they’re close their service or delete your account without any statement? If that is happen, you can’t do anything because it’s their absolute right.

    My 2 cents . It helps a lot when you build links.For example blogspot blogs will be closed by the big g if it smells any external link builing.
