Hi..
I have a concern on the benefits of Hosting your Own Blog on your website. Can any one give any update on this?
Any response from you will be greatly appreciated.

Of what alternatives are you thinking?
A blog in a sub-directory of your site adds content to your site with each blog post, aiding in onpage SEO. An offsite blog can be used to build backlinks to your main site, but you then have two sites to maintain and do offpage SEO.

Hosting blog on your own website benefits you to get credit of all quality backlinks of your blog to your main website and helps to improve your website ranking by adding new content regularly.
Hosting your own blog on your website?? i really confuse about your question, do you mean you want to make your blog as a hosting platform to your website? or like this yourwebsite.com/blog

Blog posting is easiest part in Search Engine Optimisation. In blog you can put copy contents.Through blog posting you can promote your website and your business to your targeted customers on world level.
My one cent You can monetize with every way to your blog if you have your own hosting
Hosting blogs will give your visitors perfect communication platform yo stay in touch with you and all other visitors. You will be able to explore more on the kind of service or products you sel and will be able to get quick feedback of users.
I think the main benefit of put your blog/site in own hosting is because it more secure. Just imagine if you have good blogspot/free wordpress blog and then they’re close their service or delete your account without any statement? If that is happen, you can’t do anything because it’s their absolute right.
My 2 cents . It helps a lot when you build links. For example blogspot blogs will be closed by the big g if it smells any external link builing.
