Thread: Wordpress plugins to use against spamming/unwanted traffic

some here like them if you dont and want rid of them heres a way to really help

use the following plugins

akismet - tried and tested and used by most wp bloggers
Spammer Blocker - works whenever you spam a comment
TTC Security Plugin - bad bots list - remember to update list

also
Visitor Maps and Who's Online plugin
can be used to get a list of bots and ips easily from wp admin side

Akismet very first plugin I install, everytime I create a WP blog. It catches everything which spammy and those bot comments.

si captcha plug-in or re-captcha

Re-captacha plug is good too. But problem with capcha is sooner or later spammers find a way around it.

but still its good,. I use si captcha and that works fine for me.
