Thread: SPAM Comments Are Your Friend (Here's Why)

Many, many people get annoyed and irritated by comment SPAM on their blogs. I can't understand why. I absolutely love SPAM – and here's why:

Whenever someone comments on your WordPress blog, it logs their IP address. But here's the thing: You can actually edit the comment to say whatever you want.

So all I do is change the weird name, remove the URL (this is the backlink they're trying to get), and change the comment to make it look like someone is naturally commenting on my blog post. I also make sure to change a few of the comments to include my target keyword, which helps with SEO.

This is the quickest and simplest way I know of to get 100's – or even 1000's – of "quality" comments on your blog in a relatively short period of time. The more competitive your term is, the more SPAM you'll get. Plus, Google will love your site for doing this because it's constantly being updated with fresh, unique content.

And because all the comments come from unique IP addresses, the comments look completely natural to Google. (Trust me: this is a good thing.)

But does it really works cause the comments is coming from another IP?
In wordpress blogs you can see the IP numbers but does the google robot really see the IP numbers of your comments???
Cant believe this... if google really realize the different IPs it would be great to let all spammers do their weird thang!!!

Just my opinion, but I believe Google can see EVERYTHING, and they do take comments from multiple IP's seriously. I've ranked several blogs with no backlinks using nothing but this strategy, and it seemed to work just fine.

Good idea. However my blog is getting hundred of comment everyday and lot of them are using strange character and lot of backlinks in their content. If we edit it one by one I think it can be a hard working. I think it can be good idea if some one build a plugin that can handle all this thing automatically

Looks good idea. I use Akismet to prevent spam comment. I get thousands of spam comment a day. So I'll get bored managing all of them :S

recently I closed comments for all posts in by blog what are older than 30 days and that reduced the spam comments a lot..

You`re a funny guy. Start learning about Google crawlers. They cant see from what ip comes to comment. They can see exactly what you show it. They see only <a href=SPAMURL.COM>SPAM ANCHOR</a>. Google spider cant LOG IN to your wordpress blog and cant see the ip adresses of your comments.
If your senseless topic is a true, then lets start publish my blog posts from different IP ADRESSES? Its the same as commenting cuz i place links, right?

First off - I am well aware of Google crawlers (they're actually called "spiders", my friend).

Second - How do YOU know they can't see "what ip comes to comment"? As a matter of fact, if a webmaster is using Google Chrome, or Google Analytics, or even Google AdSense for that matter, Google can see EVERYTHING that happens on your site, from the front AND back end, including which IP addresses the comments are coming from. They just don't tell you that. Sure, I can't prove the fact, but if you think Google aren't monitoring what's going on in your site, or what users are doing on your site, you need a serious wake up call.

Third - you're pretty rude. And I do know for a fact that this technique works. How do I know that? Because I've used this technique many times to increase my rank in the SERPs. And I was doing ZERO backlinking. If it didn't work, how would my site increase in rank in the SERPs?

Next time you wanna argue with me, how about being at least being "nice" about it? No need to be rude like that bro. You don't do yourself or anyone else any favors.

Lol hell yes.. I too make the changes and approve them on my blogs.. Its helpful as the website get crawls at regular bases and remain fresh.. I also do one more thing.. that is including "keyword" in the comment before posting it.

lol no way i am opening the floodgates up for this
not enough hours in the day to sort out the mess
heard this before but never done it myself or looked into it so cant really comment
not being funny but i get crawled all the time and i hardly ever let comments through although i do add original content regular

How could we make spam work for us?


Mention "Free backlinks", "Dofollow backlinks", and "comment linkbuilding" in the title and content of the page. People search for that and you could have tons of traffic because of it.

It does work i have done this and it acuatly helped me in serps.

dude, this method is not very good. I don't know how you get good serps from it. Can you explain ?
