I'm curious how long it takes for directories to accept your submission. I have been submitting to directories over the last 11 days or so at a rate of 50 per day. When I search for my site I can't find it on any directory. Is the review process longer than 2 weeks? I know they're probably all different but I would think that I would see my site somewhere by this time.

There will be some directories that require a confirmation of the email address used to register your site with the directory. Be sure to check the inbox after submitting your site. Some of the confirmation links will be broken. When you get a confirmation email look at the link. If there is no '/' between the domain name and the word 'confirm' (like this one: .netconfirm_email.php?) copy the link and paste it into your browser. Then add the '/' (like this: .net/confirm_email.php?) before you hit the enter key.

I suspect that this happens when the site url is not entered properly in the settings section of the admin section or the config file for the phpLD script. Whenever you enter your url anyplace it is best to get into the habit of adding the '/' at the end (even better is '/index.html' or whatever file extension your are using or the exact file name if you are linking to an interior page). The trailing '/' should be considered part of your url.

Thanks again for the great tool.

I know that the directory submitter lets you know if you have previously submitted to a directory, but how about if it is accepted and actually in the directory? Can we get a link or something? I would hate to think I have done all this submitting and am only getting a handful of actual acceptances. By time a couple of months go bye, I would have forgotten who I submitted to and no way of knowing if I was even accepted by those directories.

I see that the Description field only saves 255 characters instead of 500.

Lenght of desc. field is now fixed, no I'm not working on it, it works fine for me.

Other suggestions :
1. autoskip the directory if there was an error (now if there is an error, I'll have to manually click skip)
2. show the actual number of the directory - so the user will know the actual position in the list - for example : directory 11/850.
3. allow the user to submit to the previous 'skipped directories'.

Thanks for making this available. A good friend told me about it. I use to submit to a list of 600 sites many years ago it would take me many, many hours to complete. You should ask members to help you with this project, even if you start charging for it. Keeping the list updated its a BIG job and the more bad sites that are submitted with this tool, the more directory owners will try to stop it. As a directory owner, I know I would if the rules are not followed and junky, spam sites keep getting submitted. :-)

For me, if you make it easy to report to you on the status of a site and submission, I will help you to keep the tool working and updated. I consider what you are doing important even if some people expect 2.000 backlinks in an hour. :-) I know it may take weeks or months to get listings at the directories. But if you don't make a good submission you will NEVER get listed except at bad directories.

Please don't remove small, PR 0, or other directories that are slow to list sites. These sites need good submissions and will grow in time and get better. Help them and they will help you. Thank you!
