Can you give me an idea how long it takes for these back links to become known to google? I used the website submitter and directory submitter to submit my sites to hundreds of directories and websites starting around a month and a half ago. I submitted 50 per day until there should have been around 800 back links out there.
To date, not a single link has shown up in Google webmaster tools or Yahoo site explorer. Seems like 6 weeks should have been long enough since high PR sites get crawled very frequently. Just wondering what happened.
For website submitter, try to search your website in quotes "yourwebsite.com" on google, also these backlinks are not for rankings(as I have stated that many times before) this tool main purpose is to index your website in main search engines or get some spider attention...
About directory submitter, acceptance in the directory relly depends on few factors, such as: admin of particular directory, your website quality, choice of category when submitting etc...
This is type of link building where you set and forget, meaning when you submit your website to all dirs then forget about it and move on, start creating other backlinks with other tools, techniques...

The idea for the tool is nice . Few suggestions. .. I see that you display a FAILED message only for the sites on which you get a timeout error. The same error must be displayed for sites with 404 errors (there are many). Anyway these sites should be removed from the list.
Thanks for your input, yes I know there are few more things needed to be done,
I will update this tool and directory submitter also, once I finish projects I'm working on currently.
Just to add, there are not many 404, but there are many 302 and 301 redirects, which then lead to other pages, but this is something I can't control.
Some of that 301 and 302 redirects, leads to new "who is" type of service website which is OK, but some of them can lead to some other type of website, which can be anything.
In the end, this tools main purpose is not higher rankings or to gain more and more backlinks, it main purpose is to get your website indexed, so don't worry about sites that are not working, just put your url in the tool and click submit and go do some other stuff.
But again, I will updated this tool as a said before and will remove non-working websites and will bring more "valuable" websites to the begining of the list.

Works great! I think I had one link that had to be blocked by my Ad-Aware.
Quick question, does it also work with sub-domains?

nice tool and does a great job, but most of the sites are 404, if the sites list is downsize to only the active site would be nice

I find WhoIs/Lookup's like this VERY helpful especially for new sites - particularly those that extract your Description and Keywords AND show YOUR info (instead of theirs) in Search Result page snippets. Often I'll build the rough beginnings of a site, use an Indexer right away to get some initial key phrases out there -- and then run it again a few weeks later after keywords start coming into my stats and I've refined my Title/Description/Keywords further.
I've never seen indexers like this 'hurt' a website. And certainly more established domains can handle a blast of largely trivial links like this. However, there ARE a FEW valuable and powerful links that do result from some of these: Watch Yahoo SiteExplorer back-links closely and when you find one that 'sticks' -- make sure you manually Add or Update your other sites at those places for easy PR0 back-links.
This is a great tool. Im glad I came across this site

Maybe you can consider a function that allows us to "pause" the submission and continue some other time.
