Thread: Please review my logo and website:)

Please review my blog's logo Let me know if you have any suggestion about my blog's logo and also about my blog, theme, features etc...: BlogDips.com.
Any suggestion would be appreciated!

I like your logo ...and regarding the blog's design I have the following suggestions

- Header is looking too bare, try to add something over there !
- Create menus for your primary navigation bar (about, contact ...etc etc)
- Instead of a single full post, you can display 3-4 short post excerpts
- add a favicon
- Update your homepage title to something other than blogdips.com... You can use your targeted keywords over there!

Nice blog. But here are my suggestion

1. i found the part where it is written "success" is too compress. Can you change that and make it appear better.

2. more menus will do great. Just like salman said.

3. The "b" part of the logo is like a music not. I am not fan of it for this blog

Also please do something about the 'place your footer content here' even if it is just to delete the line. That makes your blog look too new to take seriously.

Also I have small knowledge about Photoshop. So I like to write some graphic article on my blog. Is it a right decision? Or I should create another blog for graphic content? Do you think it would be better if I add this feature on graphic category my blog?
Actually I need a good plan that I am founding.
Currently I have 2 category "Business online" and "seo". Also I would like to add "It Talk" and "Graphic Art".
What you will suggest?

But your niche is related to blogging and SEO.... Then how will you include graphics category in it?

Also I am in problem to add a favocon....I have created the favicon from Favicon Generator. Then I uploaded the favicon on my root public html. And have added the copy link on the first of my header....
But I can't see the favicon on my browser when I am browsing my blog!

I can see a tie-in with blogging in a couple of ways. If info-graphics can be done in Photoshop they are hot in the blogosphere. Also images add impact to blogs, so image manipulation is nice knowledge to have.

You often must refresh a few times or delete cache to pick a new feature like a favicon.

PS: I just took a peek and there is something in the way of a favicon showing. Favicons are very small image files. It is best to not try for too much info in the favicon. The file is only 16 X 16 px. Usually two or three letters or a simple symbol work best. Just your stylized 'b' might work well for you.

BTW the favicon is visible to me ! But you should use something that is visible, I guess you used entire "blogdips.com" image ! Look at IMT's favicon, it should be something visible (B or BD in your case)

and are the images that you're using on the blog too large ? The blog is loading quite slowly at my side !!

Yes, favicon is small in size. Also I appreciate your suggestion....will look at the point that you choice "b"..........

Better use only the "b" part of your logo. It would be seen clearly. For favicon it is better to go for iconic instead of textual.

That's strange !!!! Did you clear all the cache (browser cache as well as website cache plugins (if you're using any)) ?

Try on another browser. Because I am seeing it. Just change the actual favicon. The image cannot be seen. You need to make the image with high resolution before transforming it to favicon. The bigger the image better the favicon will be seen. Else I am seeing only a white square and a tiny green dot in the middle.

If you want PM me the image I will see where there is the problem.

Better you use illustrator to build the image.

I love the name of it and i love the logo, however that yukky stretched banner under it looks awful. Totally ruins the look of the website
