Great web, but i think the theme is too simple for graphic design site
Site looks below okay for a graphic related site... you must go for stylish theme with some attractive buttons and a featured image is must for your niche
Its not very graphic based? As in nothing on there makes me want to look for anything else. Most graphic website are rich in graphics and content. That one is not. Sorry it sounds harsh but its honest and i was expecting to see some cool designs on the front.
I am a fan of dark themes, so I like the color schemes used. The site also loads fast, which is a huge plus.
Your logo though needs a little perfecting. I'm not sure what you were going for when you created it, but the lighter grey textured area seems out of place. Maybe you're looking at a spacey theme? (with the sparkles/stars on the text etc.). What I would do there is either remove the light grey area, or try find a better way to incorporate it into the text of the logo.
The site looks a lot like a forum to me. With threads and posts with the "read more" written after it. Try expanding these excerpts a little or add a few widgets to the theme to make a few areas stand out? You can also choose an image to go with each post, and use that as a featured image. This should maybe thumbnail in the theme excerpts, giving you more of a visual aspect to the design.
You need to try make the social buttons bigger, I like how they follow you, but they are really small. maybe swap them for ones that have "share this" on them, or you could get someone to create one for you, using your own original designs
I hope that I am not being too harsh, but its a design site where you are trying to get visitors to look at your designs and information. Being a designer's site, you need to show people what you are capable of. You need to have that little extra that other sites don't need (like ecommerce, blogs etc.) A designer's site is the one place where they can show off what they can do. I know, less is more, but too little is detrimental to a design site. You need to have links/images pointing at your portfolio, show off what people are doing with your designs and the tips and information you're writing about. I'm a digital artist, so what I would then do is have thumbnails or sliders with my art all over the place, finding new unique ways of pointing visitors to what I want them to look at and buy (perhaps).
Its never easy to keep everyone happy. If you feel that the site needs something, add it. if you feel that there's too much, take something away. In the end you need to be happy with it (first and foremost) otherwise you're going to lose confidence in what you design in future. Good luck, I really hope that the site does well for you.
