I am sure you could transfer it, although how easily is a big question. What is the code base on which the site is built? I took a quick look at the source code and saw a reference to phpDeveloper which appears to be an editor. If the site is built on a popular CMS there may be an import script available to transfer the site. Otherwise you could manually transfer your content, but with a large number of posts that would be a lot of work.

There may be other considerations, though. Unless the link structure can be maintained or rewritten the change could cause a loss of ranking and traffic. The site is showing as a PR3 with some decent numbers. I don't know that I would want to take the risk.

I have never tried something like this, so I would be interested in other's input on this situation.

Thank your for the quick reply. I took a lightweight PHP based CMS from openCMS called Habbar and modified it great deal over time. It has no option for export import to wordpress. It has no themes or plugins either. I have been kicking myself for not using wordpress in the first place. I just wanted to get some of the benefits of using wordpress. But I think you are right, it would take a lot of work to manually transfer all the posts and then links can break.

As far as presentation there is a lot that could be done by digging into the css a bit. I have customized the look of all the CMSs that I have used. To see the actual power of css I like to point people to the KazGarden Demo All of the code base is the same for all of the various pages, it is just the css file that is switched. (The two lines of names under the bridge are links to change the css.)
