Forum Advise Is Needed.

I made a forum for my website which is in my signature, however its pretty inactive at the present. Do you think I should improve it with a much better forum CMS or leave it as it is?

The reason why I picked the WP forum is because its all linked together but I am unsure now

You should change the theme/template, because it looks like blog not a forum.

I think u should use a good forum software such as vBulletin if you wish to do big things with it.
Long time before I had a forum where I used Joomla + Kunena, it was not successful at all because of few reasons
- no good options to stop spam
- I didn't do much things to get members

Thanks for the input. I was considering changing the forum software still unsure.
However in the mean time I will change the layout of the forum to make it look more like the main website. In all honesty there is not many drug addiction forums as such, most drug forums discuss drugs where drug users go on and discuss about certain drugs not the opposite of helping people through addiction so there could be a possible opportunity there however am not sure if I can make that jump with it on that domain and that forum system.

Maybe start with some free forum engine first which database can be imported in VB later.
So if all goes well, you can invest in VB script.

Didn't know that, thank you does that support any forum script ie PHPBB? SMF? I was thinking buying a new domain for it ie www.myroutetohelp.com for the forum and use co.uk as the website do you think that would help?

I think that you can import all major platforms, but you need to check at vbulletin site.
It would be vise to start with new domain, but then again starting on your main domain can work OK,
this is something that you need to decide on your own.

The forum looks good. the only thing I think would be better is the notice for visitor to register. I think it is better without it
