submission to Web directories and Blog directories

Today my question will be on directories.

I would like to know what is the purpose of doing submission of a website to Web directories and Blog directories.

Well it works, it is just a way to be found plus gives you a backlink but there not as useful now. Google is more focused on real good juicy content than links

I was guessing about this. So I think I will skip this step then.

I'd still look at listing with niche directories e.g. If your site is related to weddings, then listing with any wedding related directories will be beneficial

But nowadays I cannot take the risk to use the directories because of the Google Algo updates

it depends on your site though.. local businesses still benefit from directory links

I have feel maybe backlink from directory not quality , i created lot of directory for my site , but it up top 10 although keyword quite easy
