Thread: Automated Directory Listings - Mistake or not to woory?

Upon the advice of a friend, I used an Automated Directory Listing service. The service I used is digiXmas.com. Now I'm having SEO remorse.

I'm becoming increasingly concerned that this may ultimately hurt my Page Rank in the eyes of Google. Would anyone in this forum have any insight into this? Does Google see the high PR Directories as good and just ignores the 0/10 Directories? How severely does Google penalize you for this and if they do, how can you reverse the negative effects.

In my opinion, I just don't see how Google can penalize for listing with a 0/10 directory, regardless if you did it manually or automated.

See, you get a backlink from the directory when your website get listed.
Automated directory submitter threw your website on tons of low quality (or may be some quality) directories which results in huge number of backlinks in very short time.

This may create a suspicion to the search engines and it may evaluate the quality of your backlinks.

Always Try to do Manual Work not use any kind of Softwere its my Good suggestion for you

The term "drip feed" is used commonly and this means to just submit a small number (10 or less) of backlinks daily to keep Google from sandboxing you which is what probably happened to OldScout.
