Now this give me an idea. If you advertise in Major Webmaster forums that you were looking for DMOZ editor and ask them to PM you one of 2 might pop up. In Mega size web master forums like SitePoint or DA there should be at least a dozen of them.

Don't keep your hopes up. I highly doubt you will get it accepted in this Life time. I know people who submitted sites years ago and still in pending.

I think the whole world would like to get indexed in Dmoz. So there is no chance to get approved fast.

There are only handful of real editors in DMOZ, bunny so getting accepted is next to impossible. It's a old relic but people still like to submit their sites, just in case if those get accepted.

I haven't bothered to submit sites to DMOZ for years now.

Dmoz looks for original content that adds value to the directory. It also looks for a site to be new and up-to-date, all completed and can be accessed easily. It favors sites that load fast, and checks to see whether it has a category for that site's topic. Submitting your site to the correct category is something they are quite strict on. The editors at Dmoz are volunteers who are going through thousands of submissions one at a time. For this reason, you can wait a long time for approval.
