I once heard someone say "pligg social bookmarking site does not affect the position of the website in SERP"
I was immediately surprised, because I often use this as a social bookmarking backlinks for my article. what is your opinion about the earlier statement
i have a backlink tool called article kevo in it has a the pligg sites i use it all the time, well it does increase the serp but it takes time just like any other kind of backlinks

if you are testing it make sure you write quality and readable and quality content because lots of people just throw in crapps of content in there thinking it will work that way. forgetting that google spider has a content fiter in fithering garbage content out of it engine , that is the main reason you see most backlink are discredited by google, then people complain it is not workingQuote:

My experience says No, Pligg sites does not increase SERP of any page but all it does is to bring some direct traffic for sometime. If you are interested in raising SERP then use other SEO techniques such as onsite SEO + build quality backlinks on high page rank blogs with high DA.
Pligg sites are still going to help your SEO, but remember many of these social bookmarking websites are here today, gone tomorrow so it's critical to do social bookmarks from the top sites, 2nd tier, and of course the 3rd tier, random pligg based sites. This way if you lose a bunch of links you don't get penalized; same thing for large increase/influx of them being indexed.
Google is well aware of what pligg sites are for. They are simply link farms these days so you won't get any benefit from them. If anyone says they do, show me the proof and I will eat my hat.
