    low blog comment acceptance rate

    Hi all,

I have been using a scarpebox to blog comment but I am getting a low acceptance rate when I check the comments?

this might be becasue of a couple of reasons,
    1. My comments
    2. My expectations
    3. I am not leaving it long enough
    4. The names that I use

I have been leaving the comments for 3-4 days and checking them, I have been getting about .5% acceptance?

I have done a split test with random names and my keywords as names and also with links in the comment and not..

Do I need to be more patent leave out the anchor text and keywords as names (but how would that improve your keyword?) or just not worry and post lost more comments?

Are you using private proxies? I think you will need to if you want better acceptance rates. Any public or open proxies will be picked up by the various black lists in short order. At least one BL states that they have over 30 MILLION IP addresses for proxies in their database. Also, if you are using lists that have been available for more than a few minutes you are likely to have problems.

    Hi Wink0r,

I have just switched to some private proxies so hopefully this will help.

I have 10 but they are all consecutive would it be a good idea to get some more from another supplier with a diffrent range?

I am going to run another split test tonight with random names v keywords as names.

I assume that buying lists is pointless as it only takes a little bit of work to produce your own on you niche?

    Thanks

I think that you will have better success with lists you generate. The tighter the niche the more likely that you can make a comment that is somewhat relevant.

Longer comments are more likely to be accepted, particularly if they are relevant to the post. Short comments like 'great post!!!' or similar BS will not get you anywhere. Also, mentioning that you found the post through search or that you are going to bookmark the post will flash the spam warning sign for many people. If you can drill down to the specific keyword level in your searches and mention that keyword in a coherent comment you will have better chances for success.

I doubt that consecutive IPs is a problem as long as the IPs are clean. Maybe someone with real experience can comment on that situation. My knowledge is from operating blogs and observing the results as well as my reading, not personal experience.

Private proxies are a must when it comes to scrapebox. I'm using about 20 as of now which works well. I can agree up to some point that buying a list may be useless.. Not only do people come out with lists frequently, the ones that are out would get spammed to death sadly.. And you can always scrape your own as well!

Thanks for the advice I have been using scrapebox to find the sites and sorting the high PR site and posting manually. Rather than the spray and pray method

I usually don't accept unrelated comments, and I think others also do the same.

You are right. but some still accept unrelated comments. And they don't have much time to check all links.
