kind of weird, did you try to click the anchor text? is it direct you to your own site?

It can help boost your Alexa rating really fast thats for sure.. And I bet if you get engough blog comments it could help your blog pull up sooner in search engines with the right search engine.. When working on a site it's all about content and more content.

And some want you to return for your quality, relevant comments, even if your name is your keyword (phrase).
If your comments are good and serious...you're set.

that's true andre, it is kind of building your reputation via blog commenting and also will generate traffic to your site.. kind of 2 in 1 package

From some high quality blogs I get emails regularly, thanking me for the quality comment and participation.
They really appreciate good comments, also for their own benefit, and really ask me to come back to post more comments.

That's good for you, you are building reputation for both parties, which are site owner and also visitor of that blog, and even some site owner will give free guest writing if you participate more and more

You should mix do-follow and no-follow as well as mixing backlink types. It's harder (if possible) to rank with only 1 type of backlink considering the medium->high competition keywords. It should be ok for low competition keywords.

It works great for the links and traffic.

That is pretty much the best and only way to add blog comments. I receive hundreds of comments daily from auto-comment programs, and so far I have approved 0% of those. I have nothing against people promoting their site, if they have actually read my blog post.

Blog Comments have lost quite a lot of Link Juice since the rise of software like Scrapebox etc. but I still think they are useful in building a successful link wheel

It depends of the site. If you allow all the comments on your site, you are most likely going to lose some of the PR.

If you add your comments manually. Your comment might made into the original post, if it's add value to the topic, or they might refer your site on their next blog post. That will never happen with the Scrapebox.

Blog commenting is the main part of Off page SEO means it is use for website promotion. It is use for drive quality backlink by signature and also increase online traffic by communication with other people.

I made my first useful and relevant blog comment on a site some three years ago that gets me multiple visits to my site everyday.

This is a real benefit beyond any SEO value.

I agree with scoop and that was the true meaning of participating with quality comments. The long term value beyond quality inputs is quality output.

Blog commenting is beneficial but only dofollow is best i got success so many time .

Try doing a search for websites with commentluv. This will generate you great backlinks to your most recent blog posts.

No follow but high traffic blogs can help you with receiving referral traffics which can be converted to new visitors with your blog. I think having a balance of do follow and no follow blog comments is good for your website.

Blog comment is an effective way to get huge number of traffic and ranking on search engines. So,i think by blog commenting we can get a great benefit.
