    Do follow tag in article

    Hello IMT members

Concerning placing website link in article, I wanted to know the purpose of using the rel="dofollow" tag.

How is it beneficial in terms of getting backlinks or is it for ranking the website or keyword?

AFAIK, By default all the links in the post are dofollow unless made nofollow by adding the rel tag.

Dofollow links pass the link juice thereby improving your SERPS.... Nofollow links do help but not on par with dofollow links!

Then there is no use of using the rel dofollow tag.

rel='dofollow' tag doesn't exist ... Even if you add it, the tag is of no use !

The only thing is when the rel='nofollow' tag is absent, the link is a dofollow !!

    That html tag is useless.

There is a tag like this:
rel="nofollow" tag and it's placed in the a tag (which is the links tag) and tells spiders to ignore the link, as if it does not exist.

Normal links don't have any tags like that.
