I would tend to steer clear of article directories that auto-accept - they are unlikely to have much value in Google's eyes.

Don't waste your time with auto approved directories submission. Only what you need is quality backlinks over quantity. bets latest WSO what I read is is Rapid Ranking.
yeah its not worthy it just full of spam links
What about Goarticles ?
Do you think it is not worthy as well ?
It's almost autoapprove, they approve your article instantly and they are moderated later ...
So it is not worthy ?
spam sites are also helpful but not a lot, so if you are building links using spam sites, auto approved article directories, auto approved directories etc. then you can get link benefit but it wouldn't be much for link building.
I do not know, maybe its okay because i haven't encounter a Spam directories. also, we need directories in building and promoting our site. so i guess its okay.
Need high PR backlinks that work? Read my ALN review and join the forces!
I think manual evaluation are compulsory for any serious hence decent article directory.
After all, we don't need those spammy sites and lets stop contributing to these trashes ;-)
I have a question, do you guy's have a good list with good directory? I want to know something like the top 10 or something like that.
Thank you
After reading the previous posts, I'm glad that this got a bump.
I want to take some time to expand the focus of the responses. It seems the first thing everyone thinks about the manual submission type directories as mentioned in previous responses.
What has been over-looked are the article directories that are part of blog networks like AR2.0, LV2.0, AMA, BMR, BLS & UAW. When you see a backlink package and it says "x amount of article submissions (auto approve)" it is usually, at least hopefully, a spun article submitted to a blog network. And if you're familiar with these blog networks they are blogs that have been turned into article directories, but at a cost ranging from $67-$199 a month.
I use a network as part of my backlinking strategy and I have seen huge jumps for my keywords using only a few hundred highly spun articles.
Ofcourse G use footprints for finding our seo backstages sites, and also banning group of IP hosting, even ALL domains like cc.cc.., so be carefully to linking to main domain. Use link wheel or smth, and dont let do not let yourselves be caught
Link is link... Unless your sites will be manually finded by SQT...
