Thread: Do you really need to do this??? Articles....?

Hi guys/gals,

I was wondering why you need to submit articles etc on ezine, hubages and so on?

I mean it is not the same to post the article on your website and wait until it get indexed? It is not the same? I mean let's say people are typing your kw in google, if you have done the thing right your article ON your site should appear no?

Tell me if I'm wrong, i'm here to learn

The goal is to create a relevant and good quality backlinks to your site from article directories.

Google and the other search engines want to provide the most relevant results that they can. If your page has a long tail keyword you may end up in first place in the serps. If there is more competition your content may be pages away from first.

Google considers site authority when it returns search results. One of the ways that Google determines site authority is by the number of other sites that link to your site. The more quality backlinks that you have to your site the more likely that your site will gain position in the search results for more competitive keywords.

Also, not all pages on a site get indexed. If you have anchor text links pointing to interior pages it is more likely that the page will be indexed. Pages that are not indexed will not show up in search results at all. This is why a good backlinking strategy is important. A great strategy includes not only backlinks to your content, but also backlinks to your backlinks (second tier backlinks). A backlink that does not get indexed does little good aside from an occasional direct visitor if it is in a visible location.

Backlinks are a very BIG only if you want much search engine traffic.

Yeah really, this does not mean anything, if you want to sell something there is a section dedicated to this.
