Well, I think algorithm of Google and Yahoo is a little different to each other.
You may be targeting only Yahoo according to your requirement as most of the Yahoo's visitors are from the USA mainly.

Not much info about this. One fact is Yahoo used to like Lot of content (Now Google do too).

I also tried to find it. But i noticed, google's guidelines are the best than anyone. If you are working according to google's guidelines, then definitely your keywords are ranking in yahoo, bing and other search engines.
