If you hosted those images on your own server then u must use Gzip image compressor to reduce the loading time. And as per the design is concern it's good enough to bag customers.

The images in the slide show probably could be compressed more without hurting the quality. The slide show script probably pre-loads the images so that it appears to the browser as over 300 Kb.

The page background image could be cropped to a much smaller file and still appear the same.

There are many stylesheets. If you could combine these to one stylesheet it would help load speed for first time visitors as each one is a separate call from the browser to the server.
