Advantages of Hub Pages and Squidoo for SEO

Both Hub Pages and Squidoo allow you to really test and refine on-page SEO. Given that you have very little control over anything else, they both allow you to really focus on it.

Also, they are both excellent for testing niches, before you decide to build a fullblown site.

I haven't notices much traffic or revenue and I've written articles on hubpages and squidoo.

If you want traffic to either site you must do good on page SEO and then get out there and promote the pages just like any website. Just as most any site, Squidoo or HubPages will get an occasional visitor but will not see real traffic unless they are well constructed and promoted. Without promotion your pages will quickly get lost in the crowd.

You can get some good backlinks from hubpages and squidoo but i dont think it helps more as is a revenue sharing blog system.

I agree, I dabble in Hub and Squid pages for backlink value and precision anchor-text links to my money site. But I certainly don't build the pages to help THEM make money off my content. We're far better off optimizing our own sites and content FIRST.

I've actually had a Squid or Hub page OUTRANK my own site which is NOT ideal. But at least it led to some indirect traffic until my own site gained enuff authority and PR to outrank the lens or hub I built.

Yes, you need to take part in their forums and other sites, in which people take part. It's not a quick and easy method of earning money or doing research.

Share your Hubs and Squidoo lenses on Twitter, Facebook, or wherever else you have a relevant and caring audience.

Accordingly hubpages and squidoo is use only for get visitors with both of them. It is very good for get visitors and page rank.

I've seen a few folks really SHARK HubPages or Squidoo and do manage to dominate. Seems some of them somehow do alot of interlinking or sorta create 'hubwheels' or 'lenswheels' somehow and manage to give their stuff more power than they deserve. Still it's A LOT of energy spent on a site you do NOT own or CONTROL -- a very risky business model...

Nice, can you show something page for example please. I have problem with squido modules and for me its hard to choose the right modules for squidoo.
