    Contextual and Sidebar link

Is it good to build your internal linking both on the sidebar and contextual text on your post?
Or is it too SEO optimized and can actually be bad for you? (should just choose one of em?)

For Interlinking the site its better to use both contextual and sidebar link option. But the search engine gives less credits for sidebar links because the link repeats with the same anchor text in same location over different url's. So its better to use contextual links but not to avoid sidebar links because sidebar links are helpful to improve the usability of the site.

Google gives weight more to sidebar when it is on the left side becuase Google's own side bar is on the left but preferable i think it should be in the header.

In my opinion, Contextual link are better then Sidebar link.Contextual link are placed within a page content and are surrounded by content from the left and right sides of the link.It look natural to google and other search engine.Contextual link more direct visitor to site owner since people love this link too.
