    What is content optimization?

Content optimization is enhancing the content of your page in a way that it creates an impact on your readers. It has to give quality and uniqueness so that it will be appealing to the page's visitors. It will also make your website's noted and that way you'll create better traffic.

Any added information would be highly appreciated.

While your ideas are noble and will produce the kind of quality needed on the web, content optimization would usually be talked about in the context of on page SEO. Overall on page SEO involves picking a good keyword or phrase for the page and using the page keyword in the url, title, description, semantic tags (h1 - h6), alt text and titles of images, and in the content. In general work your page keyword in toward the beginning and end of your page content as well as at least once in the body. Also use variations of the keyword in your text. Don't overload your content with your keywords and always be sure that your content reads naturally and provides useful information about your keywords. If you have other pages on your site that relate to your page keyword text link to the other pages at least once if it makes sense.

    Content Optimization:

    1. The content must be unique for each and every page. Content duplication must be avoided..

    2. Use header tag for the keyword. i.e. Use h1 tag for the keyword and h2 and h3 tags for sub-headings.. Better use one h1 tag for each page..

    3. Give bullets or number format for the important points in the content. So that the user will easily know what they are providing..

    4. Dont confuse the user or visitor by giving more content. Your content should be short and sweet..

    5. Use the targeting keywords for the page in the content. Dont stuff the keywords..

    6. Check whether the contextual links are given correctly for the appropriate pages..

These are the important points should be keep in mind while doing content optimization.. For SEO the content is the key for a website..

Draft Content Copy for Existing Page: If you are going to optimize your available content so above factors are important to get it done.

I want to add one more thing on it.

Draft Content Copy for New Page: If you are going to write new content for new page so be natural. Try to draft copy with your knowledge and transfer it to content. What you know? And, what you can offer unique to entire market? Give answer of these questions.

H1 tag on your target keyword or main heading, H2 to H6 tags on your sub headings.

Try to develop readable and scalable content with some specific HTML tag like bold, italic, underline and many others.

Off course SEs love Content and fresh/unique content. As earlier, it is said that Content is King. So if your site content is better optimized which is also called On Page SEO then you will get good SERP value in Google, Yahoo, Bing or any other.

as far as i concern, SE will not banned your website if you put copied content, but it will effect indexing rate and ranking as well (depend on certain circumstances).. if you publish the unique content first, for sure you get more trusted than people that copied your content,

I got to say that you have to optimize your page with the keyword that you are targeting. In this way, it is easier for google to assoiate your webpage to that particular keyword.
