good list! for the optimum it is right. But to start on god SERP you dindt need all points to be done, only for beginning the most important ones. LAter, when you have more experience, you can than edit propper and whisely the other points too

Nice tips but I think we should care about following things also:-
Page loading speed.:- We should compress our images
we should use minimum script and flash.
We should care about the keyword prominence as well as density.

Alt image tags in my opinion are essential.

You get noticed in Google image search, but think about people who are using screen readers, people with impaired vision etc. who may not be able to see the photo or image…

It improves their online line experience having a description of the image read to them, which would fall in line with Google’s Mission statement:-

Google’s mission is to organise the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.

I suspect Alt images tab have more juice than most people think. Just my opinion.
