    Title Management Software?

    Hi People,

I am looking for software that will help me manage my titles. Ideally a program that can crawl my website and let me see what is going on.

I've Been looking around on Google for a while but so far all I'm finding are basic tools that are honestly quite pathetic.

    Any pointers would be appreciated.

    Many Thanks

Hmm, I don't have exactly what you want, but I use a free program called xenu's link sleuth. It's mainly a bad link checking program, but it also lists the page titles etc. It won't let you really work with it all, but it will "let you see what is going on" I guess. Even if it won't quite do what you want, it's a great (albeit funny named) program to scan your sites for bad links with. The 1st G result should get you there.

Thanks for the pointer. Someone at another forum also told me about xenu and it's like you described - Not very workable.

Looks like I'm going to have to go custom on this.

    Hey Alicia,

Googles webmaster tools has a 'HTML suggestions' section with complete analysis of a sites :
Meta description Pages : Duplicate meta descriptions, Long meta descriptions, Short meta descriptions
Title tag : Missing title tags, Duplicate title tags, Long title tags, Short title tags, Non-informative title tags
Not sure if that helps but its thorough and free.

Ya ... have see that.. Thanks!

Problem for me is I have to manage many domains. Sometimes 100s. Then I need to hand off changes to various different people. I need a workflow for this. Excel sucks... eats up a lot of time... and is no good for a team environment. I'm working with a place to get a custom solution and they have some things that make it a lot easier. But they have not launched yet and I can only see the beta.

I need both visibility and management with the amount of domains I deal with. Even if I only had 1 domain I would still need management and version control. Hopefully I will get this with the people I am talking to. Will update you if it works out because it's a big time saver if it works.
