On site Silo page structure with internal page links?

I have recently been introduced to on site page SEO and using SILO structuring also how important it is to create internal page links from home page through your SILO structure and back to home page.

    For Example:-

    HOME Page

Silo1 (Main Silo KW and Menu heading)
Related Page 1 (Parent Page Silo 1)
Related Page 2 (Parent Page Silo 1)

Silo 2 (Main Silo KW and Menu heading)
Related Page 1 (Parent Page Silo 2)
Related Page 2 (Parent Page Silo 2)

Silo 3 (Main Silo KW and Menu heading)
Related Page 1 (Parent Page Silo 3)
Related Page 2 (Parent Page Silo 3)

Then you would put internal links from Home to Silo 1 to s1p1, to s1p2, to s1p3, to Silo 2 to s2p1 etc… then S3p3 to Home page.

I have structured a couple of sites like this now and I am seeing some results.

It takes a bit more time but I have setup a site template which speeds the process.

I would be interested in some opinions on this, is this a good structure or do you think it won’t help my on page SEO much?

When I say a template, I mean that I have a wordpress site setup on my Xampp localhost. It is a blank site except I have made up the pages titled silo 1..silo 1.1, silo 1.2 etc with silo1 as the first menu heading and the others linked to silo 1 as their parent, then added to its submenu. I repeated this for 3 more silos.

Now when I go to make a new site, the structure all widgets, plugins etc are, in this Master site I then clone it to another site set up within the localhost, and then use that one to build the new site, all i have to do is add the information to the site and clone it to the new live site/domain when it is finished.

The advantage is I don't have to waste time every time I set up a new website, getting it setup and adding all the plugins etc, straight away it is good to go and I just need to populate it and change the colours etc to suit.
