The adwords keyword tool does not tell you the competition of keyword, but it tells you the competition of 'Adwords keyword'. You should not get fooled by it, as many like you does!

    its very simple ...

go to google adwords and type "fat loss" you will get list of suggestion keywords ..

go and found same all ..

now go to sem rush and check all keywords they will give you competition ..

apart of same you can put keywords one by one manually in google.com and see adwords result ..

the keywords on which less adwords add coming will be low competitive keywords ..

Try Market Samurai. they ahve a competition analysis feature within their software which shows how much competition there is for each keyword in Google.

the deal. is finding the right keywword is more than 50% of a succesful money niche site... nobody can really tell you exactly what to do.. you just ave to use the adword keyword tool and put many relative keywords there until you find one that has low competition in SERP... even thou with small monthly search... if you cant find low competition in your prefered keyword, it means you came late to the business and its already dominated, so BRAINSTORM for something similar or else....

I agree, Market Samurai keyword analysis goes waaaaaaay beyond Google AdWords data - and also ties in Bing and Majestic SEO competition/traffic data -- especially for URL and Title Competition. It's when you get a sense of how many hard-coded URL / Permalinks and pages with That Exact Keyword Sequence are out there -- can you spot VERY easy to target low-competition keywords with moderate search traffic.

It took me years to really WISE-UP and start targeting phrases I KNOW I WILL RANK WELL FOR -- and stop hoping and guessing. I don't create a static page - or title or permalink for a blog post without knowing EXACTLY which low-to-medium competition sequences I'm going after. Couldn't have done it without Market Samurai.

Why are you competing in the weight loss/fat loss area? Do you have something new and different to say?

You can do keyword research with adwords keyword tool or market samurai or any other tool you want. You can find keywords that are low competition. But if the information you present on the post that visitors find is the same old silly nonsense as they can find on a million other websites you are wasting your time.
