Thread: Niche research - what is the best way to do niche research.

Working with a client in a new niche that I am most unfamiliar with and need to find a tool or service to get some good market info on the niche.

Suggestions most definitely welcome!

All you need is google keyword research tool and market samurai for analysing top 10 competition. That's all I use and I'm finding pretty good keywords with low competition.

In order to understand a new niche..you need to understand the niche audience first i.e. kinds of problems they have, kind of solutions they are looking for, demographics of the audience etc

I suggest you to consider following options to understand the niche

1. Niche related forums
2. Niche related blogs
3. Yahoo Answers
4. Quantcast to understand the demographics of a site's traffic

So find some 5 to 10 forums,blogs related to your niche and then understand the audience interests ...what kind of questions they are asking, what topics are most blogged about, Terminology of that niche (Every niche has a specific terminology)..Once you got a good idea about all these things then use Google keyword tool to find the keywords...

i think not all can buy market samurai
so,i recomended using a google keyword tool if you not have much money

SpyFu.com can also help in identifying the competition.

You can use the Google Keyword Tool and the Free Trial of Market Samarai. Also just doing some general searches in Google on the niche and reading up on it seems to help

The best tools in searching niches is through keyword tools because it will give you the statistic data of most keyword that the user input in the search engine.

You need few things here :

- a brain
- google keywords tool
- market samurai (there's 40 days trial)
-a brain.
