    Are short keywords too competitive?

It has been said that short keywords, one or two words are tough to compete online.
Is it always true the case?
I live a wonderful life blessed with a loving spouse, energetic children, fantastic community and awesome work place.

Only if the keywords are of any value. The less competitive the keyword the easier it is to rank, but there is no value to having a keyword for which no one searches ranked in first place.
