Get an unpopular niche to popularity

Okay, so is there any way I can go about getting a niche that isn't popular at all to actually gain popularity in some way to increase the chances of my niche growing? I want to know if there's a way of increasing any niche's potential and seeing it rise in popularity. Is this possible? Or once a niche is unpopular or not of quality anymore, does that mean it's time to move on?

I think it is very hard task to do, nearly impossible, the best way is to move on.

From my experience, getting an unpopular niche to get any foothold in SEO and IM is that it's nearly impossible. The fact that the niche is dead is one indication that it wont work in the long run and should just be skipped. If you have a niche you want, but it's popular, do it for fun then, but expect there to be really nothing worth gaining from it.

If there's some unpopular niche out there, it's simply impossible to get it to go from unpopular to popular because the fact that it's not doing good is one big indication. If you can somehow get the niche to some form of interest, it may be possible, but sadly, it's most likely not possible. It is truly best to move on to a niche that can be populated, especially one that is semi-popular to very popular. Of course finding a niche that is popular and not tapped into is hard, it can be done. I wish you luck though.

Both ways; i think, we can utilize facebook like social media sites to familiarize and to popularize the ideas in our unpopular niche; but i think it takes time; thanks.

Yes find a niche and use link bait tactics to create controversial stories that force people to comment on them.

But if its an unpopular niche whats the point in that? May as well aim high for the moon that way even if you miss you'll still be among the stars.
